CALL FOR PAPERS Workshop on Banking and Institutions
Organized by Bank of Finland Institute for Economies in Transition (BOFIT), Center for Research in Contemporary Finance at the Gabelli School of Business of Fordham University and LaRGE Research Center, University of Strasbourg.
The workshop organizers invite researchers to submit papers covering issues in all areas linking banking and institutions.
Possible topics include, but are not necessarily limited to, the following
- Institutional underpinnings of banking systems
- Banking in emerging markets
- Ownership and governance of financial institutions
- Financial systems and economic development
- Banking regulation
- Supervision and enforcements
- Politics and banking
Keynote speaker: Asli Demirgüç-Kunt (World Bank)
Those interested in presenting a paper at the workshop should send a copy in Word or pdf format via email to Zuzana Fungáčová (zuzana.fungacova@bof.fi) by January 27, 2017. Only complete papers will be considered.
Authors of accepted papers will be notified by February 24, 2017.
There is no conference fee. Presenters from academic institutions may apply for financial support to defray part of the travel expenses.
