The International Scholarship Awards comprise one scholarship covering 100% and two scholarships covering 50% of the tuition fees for any full-time 3-year undergraduate degree course studied at the University of West London.
All international applicants who already hold an offer of a place on a full-time undergraduate programme at the University of West London commencing in September 2016 are eligible to apply. The scholarships will be awarded based on the merit of the submitted video and an interview process.
Applications for September 2016 are now open. All videos must be submitted by 19 June 2016. Shortlisted applicants will be invited to a short video interview with a panel of judges on a selection of questions. The three winners will then be notified of their successful applications.
By uploading or linking to a video as part of the scholarship application, consent is implied for the University of West London to make use of this video on its website, its associated pages and social media sites, marketing content, and in the video gallery.
All scholarship winners must agree to provide a student profile to be used in publications for the purposes of marketing the University of West London.
Scholarship awards are made by the International Scholarships Panel and all decisions are final. The judges will select who will receive the 100% and 50% scholarships. The University reserves the right not to award some or any of the scholarships.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
- All applicants who already hold an offer of a place on a full-time undergraduate programme at the University of West London commencing in September 2016 are eligible to apply.
- All applicants must be an international fee-payer, to be eligible to apply for the International Scholarships Award.
The following applicants are not eligible for the International Scholarship Award:
- Sponsored students and students in receipt of another scholarship/award
- Home/EU fee paying students
- Current students already in the process of studying a degree at the University of West London
- NHS-funded students
- Students directly continuing from one course to another course (for example from a foundation degree or HND on to the final year of an honours degree)
- Students transferring from another Higher Education Institution
- Students undertaking a postgraduate qualification
- Students whose fees are paid or part paid through a sponsorship arrangement (eg NHS sponsored, franchise or collaborative students).
If you receive the award in your first year, you will also receive the award in your second, third and fourth (if applicable) year. This is conditional upon satisfactory academic progression and attendance the previous year as determined by the University. If you meet the above criteria, the scholarship will be paid automatically; you do not need to reapply each year.

Creating your video
Whether you want to be extra creative or simply record a video of yourself on your smartphone, your video will be judged on how well it meets the judging criteria listed below, not on your technical expertise, don’t worry! Just try to stand out from the crowd!
Uploading your video
Once you have completed your video, you will need to upload it to a video platform such as YouTube, Vimeo or Youku and then fill in the form on the official website, inserting your video link.
Once your video has been reviewed and approved by the judging panel it will be uploaded to this website, so be sure to check in again to see if your video has been added to the gallery below. To share your video with friends and family, simply use the social media buttons on the side of this page.
