University of Leicester President's Postgraduate Scholarship Scheme

Maximum number of scholarships available: 50

Value of Scholarship: £3,500

Application deadline: 31 March 2016

Criteria: Academic Merit

This scholarship is for new international (non-EU) students on a full-time, taught, campus-based Masters course starting in September or October.

This scholarship is open to applicants who already have an offer (conditional or unconditional) to study for a Masters degree programme at the University.

You cannot combine this scholarship with a full scholarship (for tuition fees and living costs) from any other source. You are able to receive only one partial scholarship from the University. If you have a partial scholarship from other sources you will still be considered for the President's Postgraduate Scholarship.

The scholarship is awarded in the form of a reduction in tuition fees.

To apply for the scholarship, please fill in the application form.

Please check the eligibility criteria at: http://www.le.ac.uk/international/future/open.html

Please note that annual tuition fees range from £14,105 -£21,810 according to your degree programme. You should allow a minimum of £820-870 per month for living expenses, including accommodation. All our scholarships offer only partial funding for your studies. If you are awarded a scholarship you will need to pay the balance of your tuition fees and living expenses.

Make sure that you answer all the questions on the application form. Please type or write clearly in blue or black ink. You must sign the form personally (not third party or agent).

Ensure that you have included all of the following documents along with your completed application form:

Copies of your certificates and transcripts from all of your previous programmes of study (school leaving qualifications and any university-level programmes). This should be in English.

A personal statement (typed if possible) of a maximum of 400 words, detailing academic performance, the ranking of any University that you have attended, and your personal ranking compared with other students in your class

Make sure that you include all relevant information even if it has already been submitted with your application for a place at the University.

Send your complete application by email to: scholarships@le.ac.uk
