Are you an ambitious researcher looking for your next challenge? Do you have a background in Architecture and Heritage research? Do you want to further your career in one of the UK’s leading research-intensive Universities? Do you want to work on a large research project alongside leading academics in the field of Cultural Heritage Preservation?

The Living Museum (LMUQ) is an AHRC funded project that aims to document, record and analyse the multi-layered structures of a Tentative UNESCO heritage site in Jordan (Umm Qais). The project will implement an evidence-based strategy and action-plan to inform the sustainable preservation of the site using digital and virtual LiDAR technologies. The project is a multidisciplinary collaboration between universities in Jordan and the UK. 

Holding a PhD (or close to completion / or have submitted your thesis before taking up the role) in Architecture, Digital Hestiage, Archelogy, Musuems stduies or a closely allied discipline, you will have a strong background in architectural and urban preservation of historic sites and experience in using LiDAR surveys, Point-Cloud Laser scanning and processing digital and virtual modelling techniques.
