Social Anthropology at School of Global Studies, Gothenburg University, is pleased to announce one Ph.D. position. Climate issues, migration, religion, gender, cultural heritage, technology, economy, health and indigenous peoples are examples of some of the topics researchers and teachers are engaged in. The traditional focus of the subject is characterized by research that builds upon long-term empirical fieldwork and participatory observation. In addition, there is a strong focus on everyday life and on how practices and experiences that are central in people’s daily lives interplay with wider societal processes.
