British Academy Postdoctoral Fellowship 2017/18 competition

The Institute of Archaeology is supporting applications for British Academy Postdoctoral Fellowships, with an internal deadline of 11 September 2017 for consideration of applications.

Applications will be considered by an Institute of Archaeology panel in the first instance and selected applications will then be forwarded to the UCL Research Facilitation team for additional consideration and feedback.

Information required

Prospective applicants must complete the outline application form via the new BA Grants Management System, Flexi-Grant, and generate a PDF which should be emailed to Jo Dullaghan, alongside a CV (max 2 pages, A4), to be assessed by an Institute of Archaeology panel prior to submission to UCL for their deadline of 18 September.

Applicants should not submit their outline application via Flexi-Grant at this stage.

This funding scheme is extremely competitive it is strongly recommended that only those applicants who have had their PhD awarded and have produced either a monograph or had at least four peer-reviewed articles published/accepted should consider making an application for evaluation by UCL in the first instance. Unsuccessful applicants will only be able to submit another application to this scheme if advised formally of their eligibility to do so by the British Academy.

Any queries about the British Academy Postdoctoral Fellowship competition may be directed to Jo Dullaghan, Institute of Archaeology Research Administrator.
