If you have been made a conditional or unconditional offer and do not have funding in place then you may now apply for one of our Departmental scholarships. The scholarships are awarded on a competitive basis using the criteria of academic merit, financial need and supervisor support and are open to Home, EU and Overseas offer holders (in regards the MSc in Fusion Energy these scholarships are available to overseas fee payers only). The Head of Department will make the final decision and award the scholarships.
If you are eligible, you will need to offer justification for why you should be considered. We ask you to provide a short statement [ no more than 300 words ] on why you should be considered for the scholarship.
The scholarships are offered on a competitive basis and cover either 50% or 100% of tuition fees, most at the 50% level.
Applications are now open. Decisions will be made at the end of March 2015, April 2015, May 2015, June 2015 and July 2015, when applications will close for this year. Later applications will only be considered in exceptional circumstances. Strong applications not successful in the first round, will be put on a reserve list and considered the following month.
