The Kent Scholarship for Academic Excellence 2016, University of Kent

Value

This scholarship is worth £2,000 a year, renewable on an annual basis (subject to good academic progress). It may be held in conjunction with a University bursary.

Who is eligible

Traditionally, this scholarship has been awarded to all those who achieve AAA at A level (or specified equivalents). We have now extended this scholarship to include those who achieve AAB at A level (or specified equivalents) where one of the subjects is either Mathematics or a Modern Foreign Language.

The scholarship will be awarded to UK, EU and Overseas applicants to the University of Kent that meet all the criteria below:

  • are entering the first year (Stage 1) of undergraduate degree study at the University of Kent’s Canterbury or Medway campus from September 2016,
  • has achieved the required grades for at least one of the qualifications specified below,
  • has not attained any qualification higher than those listed below (i.e. does not already hold an undergraduate degree),
  • has satisfied conditions of entry to the University of Kent.

How to apply

There is no separate application form to complete. If you have applied to the University of Kent and have attained the necessary grades, your scholarship will be confirmed by email in September 2016.

Chancellor's Scholarship for Trinidad and Tobago

  • £1,000 towards tuition fees for one year.
  • Applicants must have accepted a place at Kent and must submit an essay and meet other criteria.
  • Open to those with a valid passport from Trinidad or Tobago.

International scholarships for undergraduate students

  • £5,000 per year for up to three years, subject to satisfactory academic progress.
  • Applicants must have firmly accepted a place at Kent and must submit an essay and meet other criteria.
  • Open to overseas fee paying applicants from any country.

Hong Kong Alumni Scholarship

  • Open to passport holders of the People’s Republic of China or permanent residents of Hong Kong.

Lo Family Scholarship Fund

  • Open to passport holders of the People’s Republic of China or permanent residents of Hong Kong.
  • A scholarship of £5,000 to support a student entering Kent Business School.

International Pathways Scholarships

  • A number of partial tuition fee scholarships for International Foundation Programmes (IFP) (for one year of study), worth £2,500 each.
  • Applicants must have firmly accepted a conditional offer for the IFP and must submit an essay.
  • Open to overseas fee paying applicants from any country.

School of Arts International Undergraduate Scholarships

School of Architecture 10th Anniversary Scholarship

  • £1,000 awarded in the first year of study.
  • Applicant must submit a portfolio containing 10 images.
  • Open to full-time applicants from any country.
