“Teach For Armenia” Leadership Development Program Fellowship 2018, Armenia

Overview

“Teach for Armenia” recruits Armenia’s top talent to serve as teachers (”Fellows”) for 2 years in most underserved areas of Armenia. Fellows participate in a two-year Leadership Development Program where they develop the knowledge, skills and mindset to improve student achievement and leadership in classrooms, and simultaneously run community development initiatives to mobilize and empower communities. After this two-year period, Fellows are inducted as Ambassadors and streamlined into employment in strategic sectors that form the foundation of a movement for educational equity across Armenia.

Presently, “Teach for Armenia” is represented in 52 partnering schools across 6 regions in Armenia. By far, the program has had 3 generations of Fellows, of which 14, comprising the first generation, have completed the two-year program and taken a professional path. The second and third generations incorporate 71 Fellows that work with around 5000 children. “Teach for Armenia” continually cooperates with new schools and communities to reach for each child even in the farthest regions in Armenia.
