The earlier a child is introduced to a second language, the greater the chances are that the child will become truly proficient in the language. For this, British Council Armenia, within its Summer English Programmes for Young learners, is offering one-month intensive English courses specially designed to help children feel comfortable with the English language.
Using stories, songs, games and activities, our English courses for children will make learning a creative and enjoyable experience for them.
What we offer
In our courses, children will learn the English language via communicating naturally in English with their teacher and their classmates. Our offer includes:
- specialised English courses for children 4 days a week 2 hours each session;
- interactive and engaging lessons to be delivered by trained teachers;
- English through activities, stories, songs and games;
- classroom tasks that are enjoyable but demanding;
- regular communication between teacher and parents to help you check your child's progress.
Who these courses are for
We organise our students in different levels according to their age and knowledge of the language. We have courses for the following groups:
- Lower Primary: classes 5, 6, 7 year olds.
- Upper Primary: classes for 8 and 9 year olds.
Certificates
All course participants will receive British Council Certificates of Attendance and individual Performance Reports upon successful completion of the course.
What will my child gain from this course?
Our English courses will prepare your child to learn English naturally and will give them a solid foundation in English. They will learn through engaging activities and topics, through group work and real communication. It will be fun - and it will be quite a challenge, too.
- Lower Primary: These courses mainly focus on listening, while the amount of speaking increases as well. A student learns literacy (the English Alphabet, reading and writing) at this stage.
- Upper Primary: These courses are structured with a skills development (including grammar and vocabulary) programme, games and engaging activities.
