Scholarship details
Students who are living in South Asia (India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal) at the time of application who are self-funding their course are eligible for a merit-based scholarship of between GBP £1000 - £3000 for entry onto a full time undergraduate or postgraduate programme in September 2016.
If a student is successful in being made an offer to one of our full time Bachelor or Masters programmes, they will be contacted and informed of the scholarship amount they are eligible for. The scholarship amounts for applicants with the qualifications below are usually as follows:
Bachelor courses
60% or above in the HSC - £2,000 (only for 1st year of Bachelor courses)
Masters courses
- Latest Masters or Bachelor degree at 70% or above - £3,000
- Latest Masters or Bachelor degree at 60 – 69% - £2,000
- Latest Masters or Bachelor degree at 55% - 59% - £1,000
Students receiving discounted tuition fees from partner universities are not eligible.
Application process
Students who are domiciled in India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Nepal at the time of application and are made an offer to a full-time undergraduate or postgraduate programme will automatically be considered for the scholarship and informed of their eligibility – there is no additional application process for this scholarship.
Scholarships will be awarded on a first-come first-served basis to students who hold an unconditional offer to their Bachelor or Masters programme and have made their £3500 deposit payment towards their fees.
The scholarship amount will be shown on the Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) letter Edinburgh Napier will issue you for your Tier 4 Student Visa application.
