The College of Humanities & Social Sciences invites the public to a poetry reading that has been organized by students of the Armenian Language & Literature course. The event will be held to commemorate of the Armenian Genocide, aiming to discuss what it means to be an Armenian from new perspectives, and moving away from being victims of tragedy.
Through the poems of Armenian writers, students want to demonstrate the divorced nature of the Armenian identity. Participants are welcome to read works of other writers, as well as their own creations relevant to the topic of Armenian identity. Additional works for reading will be available for guests. The event is open to the public, and all guests are welcome to participate in the poetry readings, and openly contribute to the discussions.
