To strengthen our team of research economists, we invite applications for a full-time position as PostDoc in Economics (TVL-E 13) starting as soon as possible. We invite applications from researchers with strong interest in the behavior of firms, specifically in the fields of trade or growth.

Applicants are expected to have a PhD in economics (or be close to completion), research experience and strong econometric skills. Prior experience with survey design is desirable. A publication record in internationally peer-reviewed journals is an asset, as is knowledge of German and interest in interdisciplinary co-operation. The successful candidate will present research results at conferences and publish articles in international peer-reviewed journals. IOS encourages and supports habilitations at the University of Regensburg. The successful candidate is also expected to contribute to the further acquisition of third-party projects by designing, implementing, and leading projects in her/his area of research. Remuneration is based on the German TV-L public pay scale, salary group E13. The appointment is for three years, with the possibility of extension.

IOS, together with the University of Regensburg, provides an attractive academic environment. The city of Regensburg is a charming location in southern Germany (Bavaria), registered on the UNESCO World Heritage List.
