Nottingham Trent University’s world-class research earned us the prestigious Queen's Anniversary Prize for Higher and Further Education, the highest honour available to a UK university.

Our fully-funded PhD studentships offer an exciting opportunity to join our pioneering and cutting edge areas of research excellence – nurturing the next generation of research leaders.

This studentship competition is open to applicants who wish to study for a PhD on a full-tiume basis only. The studentship will pay UK/EU fees (currently set at £4,195 for 2017/18 and are revised annually) and provide a maintenance stipend linked to the RCUK rate (this is revised annually and is currently set at £14,553 for the academic year 2017/18) for up to three years. The studentships will be expected to commence in October 2018.

ELIGIBILITY & ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

To be eligible to apply, you must hold (or expect to obtain by 1st October 2018) a 1st Class/2.1 UK honours degree (or equivalent as verified by UK Naric and the NTU International development Office) in a relevant subject area (including, where appropriate, training in the relevant research methods and, where relevant, laboratory experience). For applicants holding a 2.2 UK honours degree this must be supported by a Masters at “Merit” level (or equivalent as verified by UK Naric and the NTU International development Office) as an additional qualification.
