Alumni bursary

What is it?

If you have obtained a full undergraduate or postgraduate degree award from the University of Leeds, you may be eligible to receive the University of Leeds Alumni Bursary. Please view the terms and conditions - http://www.leeds.ac.uk/info/20021/postgraduate/1923/alumni_bursary to see if you are eligible.

How much is it worth?

The University will pay 10% of your tuition fees for each year you are registered and studying on the course (pro rata for part year programmes). The bursary will not be applied in the overtime (writing-up) period for research degree students.

The alumni bursary can be awarded in conjunction with other University of Leeds scholarships and awards; the 10% bursary is calculated based on the net fee remaining ie after other scholarship and awards have been deducted.

How do I apply?

If you have read the terms and conditions - http://www.leeds.ac.uk/info/20021/postgraduate/1923/alumni_bursary and think you are eligible to receive the alumni bursary, you need to email phd@lubs.leeds.ac.uk with information regarding your former studies, the course you have applied for and how you are funded for your tuition fees. We will need to verify that you are a former student and you will need to confirm that you have read the terms and conditions and are self financing for your tuition fees. You may be asked to provide evidence of your former University of Leeds award.

If your course is of more than one year's duration you will not have to re-apply for the bursary each year.
