Management Accounting and Control and Applied Econometrics 4-month long courses

Starting from January 13 th through May 5 th you are invited to participate in the Management Accounting and Control (based on international practices) and Applied Econometrics 4-month long courses at the Agribusiness Teaching Center (ATC) of the International Center for Agribusiness Research and Education (ICARE).

Choose the course you want or both courses and join us!

Participants are expected to get fully involved in the courses by attending classes, submitting complete homework assignments, and passing exams. After successfully finishing the course (i.e., getting at least 60%), participants will get Certificate of Participation.

Management Accounting and Control Course Description

The objective of this course is to help students develop knowledge and skills in the application of managerial accounting techniques. The course covers modern techniques, decision-making, budgeting and standard costing, and concludes with how a business should be managed and controlled. The course will be taught using lectures, lab sessions, and office hours to reinforce the materials presented in class and to help participants with homework assignments.

Applied Econometrics Course Description

This course provides an in-depth introduction to the use of econometric methods to address important economic questions. Students are exposed to the tools of basic statistics and linear regression that are used to test economic theories or measure economic phenomena. At the end of the course, students should be able to estimate econometric models and conduct hypothesis testing using actual data and STATA statistical software package (for details see, please https://icare.am/archives/news/applied-econometrics).

Audience

Participants include students, researchers, social scientists, and other interested parties.

Courses duration

The course will start on January 13 th and last until May 5 th .

Language of instruction

The language of instruction will be English, however, participants are not expected to have advanced English skills. Intermediate English should be sufficient.

Courses participation fee

The course fee is 100,000 AMD which must be paid within the first week of classes. While similar hands-on courses are quite expensive, ICARE partly covers the associated expenses for the participants, thus staying true to its charitable, social, scientific, and educational commitments.
