The School of GeoSciences is offering 10 masters scholarships for international students for the 2015-2016 academic session. Applicants who have already commenced their programme of study on the closing date are not eligible for this scholarship. Each scholarship is worth £5,000 and is tenable for one academic year. The award of scholarship will be deducted from tuition fee. All students who have accepted an unconditional offer by 1 June 2015 to the programmes listed are eligible to apply.
Study Subject(s): Scholarships are awarded in one of the following eligible subject areas: Carbon Management, Ecosystem Services, Environment and Development, Environmental Sustainability, Geographical Information Science, Environment, Culture and Society and Marine Systems at University of Edinburgh.

Selection Criteria: Eligible applicants should complete an online application and accompanying Personal Statement evidencing: your passion for your chosen subject; why you deserve the scholarship and evidence of attempts to secure additional means of funding.
Notification: A Selection Committee will meet in June to select the recipients. All candidates will be notified of the outcome in July.

. To apply for a scholarship you must first apply for admission for an eligible programme of study at the University of Edinburgh. Once you have applied for admission you will receive your University Username (UUN). Your UUN is the letter ‘s’ followed by your matriculation number; for example, s0987654. Only applicants who have received an offer of admission (conditional or unconditional) by the closing date of the scholarship are likely to be considered by the panel.
