Glion offers an English language program where students are immersed in an English speaking environment and have the opportunity to discover the world of hospitality in Switzerland - the birthplace of hospitality, or in London - the European capital of business and tourism.
This 10-week program focuses on intensive English learning while also teaching students important hospitality industry terminology and knowledge. Our experienced teachers know that each student has different strengths and areas of development; they will help them to improve their English grammar, vocabulary, speaking, listening, pronunciation, reading and writing. This program is tailored to help students fulfill the entry requirements to study the undergraduate or postgraduate programs at Glion Institute of Higher Education in Switzerland or London.
The aim of the 10-week course is to increase a student’s IELTS score by 0.5. Therefore, taking two 10-week courses consecutively may be beneficial for students who are aiming to increase their IELTS score by more than 0.5. On completion of the program at the Glion campus in Switzerland or in London, students will take an official IELTS Academic English test, which is included in the fees.
ENGLISH LANGUAGE PROGRAM OVERVIEW
Our English Language Program provides international students with the skills to improve English fluency in academic, professional and social situations. This program is available on our campus in Switzerland and in London.

Must be 17 years old or above (18 years old for the London program) in order to meet the minimum age requirement for the visa application.

Have a minimum English level of IELTS 4.5. Note that only IELTS will be accepted from non-EU, EEA or Swiss students due to UK visa requirements. All English certificates must have been issued in the last 12 months prior to admission.

Must hold a valid passport. Nationals of any country can apply and follow the required process for obtaining a visa.

Accommodation
English Program in Switzerland
Glion provides students with on-campus accommodation, whereby students stay in a double room with full board (3 meals a day, 5 days a week, as well as brunch and dinner on Saturdays and Sundays).
English Program in London
Glion London provides students with homestay accommodation, whereby students rent a single room from a local host family and are provided with breakfast and evening meals.
