2017/18 Scholarship Programme for Prospective Students
The Glasgow School of Art (GSA) is a creative hothouse in which a diverse community of fine artists, designers and architects can develop and hone their talents. The GSA wants to ensure that becoming part of this community, as far as possible, is based on potential, ability and talent. The GSA awards over £450,000 annually as scholarships to support students during their studies.
The GSA has a number of scholarships available to new Undergraduate and new Postgraduate students. Not all students are eligible to apply for all available scholarships, please check the eligibility criteria of each scholarship carefully. All scholarship applicants must hold either an Unconditional or Conditional offer of study at the GSA.
When applying for a GSA Scholarship you should note that some of our scholarships offer a contribution towards tuition fees, whilst others provide a maintenance grant (to assist with your living costs during your studies at the GSA). The value of the scholarship does not reflect the full cost of undertaking full-time study and, unless otherwise stated, the scholarships are for one academic year only.
Please check the GSA website at on a regular basis prior to submitting your application, as new scholarships can become available and changes may be made to existing scholarships. Please note the GSA reserves the right to make variations to the scholarships available and to not award in any year. The GSA Scholarships are awarded by the Undergraduate and Postgraduate Scholarship Committees. These Committees include representatives from each School within the GSA and is chaired by the Student Support Manager.

The deadline for submitting a scholarship application is Wednesday 31st May 2017 by 4pm GMT.
Please note, if applying for a Scotland’s Saltire Scholarship a separate online application must also be submitted at the Scottish Government website by 12 May 2017.
