Joint Berlin-Jerusalem Post-Doctoral Fellowship Program

Within the framework of their strategic partnership, the Hebrew University of Jerusalem (HUJI) and Freie Universität Berlin (FU) two fellowships are awarded annually to exceptionally talented postdoctoral researchers. The joint postdoctoral fellowship program aims to pool the resources of the two renowned research universities, leverage synergies, and promote international research cooperation as a career path.

Each fellowship is awarded for 24 months, starting on October 1, 2021, and consists of two phases:

  • Phase 1: 12 months of research at FU
  • Phase 2: 12 months of research at HUJI

(or vice versa, according to the fellow's individual research design)

The competition is open to applicants from all disciplines represented at both universities. The Post-Doctoral fellows will conduct their research projects under the supervision of Freie Universität and Hebrew University experienced researchers.

The fellowships each include a monthly stipend of € 2,000 and a one-time relocation allowance (€ 2,000).
