Serge Bellanger French-American Business Scholarship Program

The French-American Chamber of Commerce (FACC) Foundation was launched in 2012 to sponsor the training and education of the next generation of transatlantic business leaders. Through its highly selective ‘Serge Bellanger French-American Business Scholarship Program,’ the FACC Foundation provides financial support to French students seeking to pursue an MBA in the U.S., and to American students who wish to pursue an MBA, a master or a mastère specialisé in a business-related discipline in a ‘grande école’ or ‘grand établissement’ in France.

Thanks to its outstanding pool of Serge Bellanger Scholarship laureates, the FACC Foundation also aims to create an exclusive community of high-achieving individuals, the ‘FACC Foundation Alumni Network,’ who will shape tomorrow’s French-American business relationship.

A one-of-a-kind French-American scholarship

The Serge Bellanger Business Scholarship Program is the only funding initiative at the graduate level open equally to business students from France and the US that promotes student mobility between the two countries.  It provides aspiring business leaders with invaluable learning experiences that will help expand their career opportunities, promote cross-cultural dialogue, and improve their foreign language skills. This program is named after Serge Bellanger, the former longtime president of the FACC and a leader in the French-American business community.

 Scholarship monies

Every year, the FACC Foundation provides scholarships on a merit basis. Each scholarship is worth $10,000 and covers exclusively tuition fees. The FACC Foundation pays the scholarships directly to the universities attended by the scholars. Since its inception, the Serge Bellanger French-American Scholarship Program has steadily grown, increasing from six scholarships in 2013 to ten in 2015. To date, 24 students from France and the U.S. have received scholarship funds.

 Scholarship recipients

The FACC Foundation has granted scholarships to a group of remarkable French and American students. Its grantees are enrolled in – or have graduated from – top MBA programs in the US (Harvard School of Business, Wharton, MIT, Stanford, Columbia, among others) and in France, notably HEC and Université Paris Dauphine.

Selection Committee

The Selection Committee for the Serge Bellanger Scholarship Program is composed of eight jurors, who have been chosen for their expertise in French-American relations and interest in education. Consistent with the bicultural identity of the program, the committee brings together French and American members, who come from a variety of fields ranging from business and academia to the media. The Selection Committee is based both in Paris and New York.
