The Open University Business School invites applications for full-time PhD studentships starting in October 2016. Studentships are attached to specific research projects which are described at http://www.open.ac.uk/business-school-phd. The studentships cover tuition fees, a research training support grant and a starting stipend of circa £14,000 per year. This is a full-time three-year studentship and you would be required to live in the UK and usually within commuting distance of the Milton Keynes campus. |
Subjects
We are looking for highly motivated candidates who have a good honours degree at a minimum of 2:1 or equivalent in a related subject, plus around 120 credits of advanced research methods skills or ideally a Masters in research methods. Candidates, who do not have sufficient research methods training may be offered a place on our one-year full time Masters in Research Methods course.
Your application should comprise a 1000-word research proposal and a covering letter outlining your suitability for your chosen project. We must also receive a completed application form, copies of relevant degree certificates and transcripts and a copy of your SELTS test results (if applicable), before we can consider your application.
