The Armenian International Women’s Association San Francisco Affiliate (AIWA-SF) invites you to Symantec Headquarters, 350 Ellis Street Mountain View, CA – V Café, Thursday, September 24, 2015 at 5:00 p.m. for a panel discussion entitled “Armenian Women in Leadership and Technology.”

About the panelists:

Paul Agbabian is CTO of the enterprise security division of Symantec, responsible for technology strategy and architecture. Previous to this role, he was CTO of Symantec’s Consumer Business Unit and the Norton product line.

He has represented Symantec in industry organizations such as the OpenGroup, Distributed Management Task Force where he was board member and chair of the User and Security working groups, and customer-industry councils. Paul is currently Symantec’s board member to the Open Identity Exchange and OpenID Foundation as well as board observer for Symantec VC investments. He has numerous inventions and patents in his fields of expertise.

Before joining Symantec, Paul was president of a private corporation developing software for measurement and analysis of stochastic data, catering to government agencies, global aerospace and technology firms.

Paul has a Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Caltech, and a Bachelor of Science degree from UCLA.

Lusine Yeghiazaryan is Senior Director of Internal Audit, Risk and Controls at GoPro. As part of GoPro’s management team, Lusine leads the coordination and deployment of key risk and control programs and frameworks, as well as financial, strategic and operational assessments and internal audits.  Prior to joining GoPro, she was a Senior Manager at Deloitte’s Enterprise Risk Services working with more than twenty Silicon Valley technology, biotech, and banking companies.

Having immigrated to US alone at age 17 and having had the opportunity to work and live in multiple countries, Lusine brings a cultural perspective on navigating through educational and career opportunities available to women in various settings, insights into communication styles and the importance of understanding of the corporate “culture”.

Lusine is a CPA, CIA and holds an MBA degree from UC Berkeley, Haas School of Business. Lusine was the founding Vice President of AIWA SF chapter and continues to serve on AIWA SF Executive Committee.

Ani Vartanian Boladian is Founder and co-Managing Partner of Rubicon Point Partners (RPP) with her husband, Razmig Boladian. RPP is an institutional real estate investment company based out of San Francisco, California.

Prior to opening her own business, Ani held a myriad of roles including: senior official at U.S. Department of the Treasury where she managed the Term Asset Backed Securities Loan Facility (TALF) and acted as advisor to the White House on commercial real estate policy matters.

Previous to her role at the Treasury Department, Ani held a position at Rockwood Capital. Ani began her career at Goldman, Sacks & Co.

Ani is a graduate of Stanford University and Harvard Business School. She has also authored two HBS real estate cases.

Meleeneh DerHartunian is a Regulatory Affairs Professional and Senior Regulatory Documentation Scientist at Roche-Genentech in South San Francisco. She provides regulatory, scientific, and documentation expertise to clinical trial management teams for pharmaceutical products, specifically for oncology drug development.

Before joining Genentech, Meleeneh worked as a Staff Technical Writer at Stryker Endoscopy in South San Jose where she led several regulatory, quality, and training initiatives for the Arthroscopy and General Surgery division of the medical device company.

Meleeneh has a PhD in Genetics and Molecular and Cellular Biology from the University of Southern California, a U.S. Regulatory Affairs Certification (RAC), and a Regulatory Affairs Certificate in Clinical Trial Design and Management from the International Center of Regulatory Science at USC.

Laura Dirtadian is the Director for the Risk Advisory Services department for MUFG Union Bank.  She leads the Risk Advisory group that serves a second line of defense to the organization that provides an independent view on the health of key initiatives at MUFG, including new product, system and M&A implementations.  In addition to this role, she serves as the Administrator to the Project Spend and Governance Committee (PSGC), partnering with committee members across the organization, IT, Business Unit PMOs and Finance business units to provide governance on the overall project portfolio.

Prior to MUFG, she worked under Deloitte’s Security and Privacy Services organization for over 9 years, where she assessed and developed business continuity, disaster recovery, IT Risk Management, and Information Security programs, focusing on financial and technology institutions.

She is Certified Information System Professional (CISSP) and Certified Business Continuity Planner (CBCP) certified and serves as an executive committee member for AIWA.  She lives in Oakland, married, with two beautiful young children.
