September 2016 Internships

Global Interns is offering internships to new International students joining us in September 2016.

What will I be doing during my internship?

All internships are based within DMU. You could be working in an administration role, helping write social media content, supporting the Vice-Chancellor's office, working on projects within the university's faculties and professional services departments, as well as some lab-based opportunities. We will use your application to match you to a suitable internship.

How long do they last?

All internships begin on Monday 15 October 2016. They will last for 13 weeks and involve 10 hours work per week.

Do I get paid?

Yes, you will be paid £8.25 per hour. Payments are made on a monthly basis and are paid directly into your bank account.

Is the internship guaranteed?

Yes, all successful applicants will be guaranteed an internship.

What did our previous Global Interns say?

'I really enjoyed my internship and I got to know more about digital design; the field which I would love to make my career. It will be helpful in the future as well that I have become more comfortable using software and when I will have to learn new programs & applications in the future I will now take it as a challenge to improve my software skills.

I would love to recommend an internship to prospective students as it is a golden opportunity to work on what you love during your studies. You will have an experience to work and you can plan your career according to your experience in your field.’

Radhika Ranparia, Global Intern, Engineering Management MSc

‘The entire experience of this internship was based on putting my theoretical knowledge into practice. I’m studying Management and Business and it is absolutely amazing how I get to experience studying and putting it into applied knowledge at the same time.

This Internship has helped me realise my potential and my shortcomings. I got a chance to know myself better. I now know that when and under what conditions do I work the best. I have learned to manage my time better, I’d always heard people talk about how working in real work conditions makes you more disciplined but now I’ve experienced it too.’

Inayat Guram, Global Intern, Business & Managenent MBus
