Armenian Diaspora and Armenian-Russian Relations: Past and Present
Lomonosov Moscow State University, Faculty of History of Lomonosov Moscow State University together with Section of History and Philology of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Aniv Center for Armenian Studies, State Museum of Oriental Art in cooperation with Mesrop Mashtots Institute of Ancient Manuscripts, Institute of History of the National Academy of Sciences of Armenia, History Museum of Armenia, State Hermitage, State Institute of Art Studies of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation, Peoples' Friendship University of Russia, Moscow State Pedagogical University, National Research Nuclear University MEPhI (Moscow Engineering Physics Institute) invite you to participate in The International Academic Conference “Armenian Diaspora and Armenian-Russian Relations: Past and Present” (13-17 September, 2016).
The Conference is held at the Faculty of History of Lomonosov Moscow State University.
Plenary sessions, parallel sessions, and round table discussions are to be held.
Topic areas of the Conference include:
- History of the Armenian Diaspora in Russia and in the world;
- Source study and historiography of the Armenian-Russian relations;
- Armenian-Russian relations, 10th-21st centuries;
- Armenian contribution to culture, science and art of Russia;
- The Armenian Apostolic Church in Russia and the Russian Orthodox Church;
- The Republic of Armenia and the Russian Federation in the late 20th - early 21 st centuries.
- Armenian national culture and language: history of formation and development;
- Armenian volunteer organizations and international humanitarian cooperation.
Programme and Organizing Committees invite to apply by filling the attached Application Form, indicating the presentation title and enclosing an abstract of presentation (up to 3 000 characters or 500 words). Applications should be sent to the Faculty of History of Lomonosov Moscow State University; application deadline is April 01, 2016.
Conference Invitation Letter and the Conference Programme will be forwarded to each participant prior to June 01, 2016 after review and approval of the abstracts at the meetings of Programme and Organizing committees which reserve the right to determine the compliance of the submitted applications to the Conference theme and subsequent selection of the papers for the publication of the Conference Proceedings.
The Application Form and the abstract are to be submitted to the Senior Secretary of the Conference Ekaterina Roeva at aniv.conference@gmail.com.

Official Conference languages are Russian, English, and French.
Accommodation of foreign participants and Russian participants from outside of Moscow shall be covered by Organizing Committee.
Travel expenses are covered by the participants.
Organizing Committee informs that Lomonosov Moscow State University hostelaccommodation is provided to the participants whose visas were issued through the International Department of the Faculty of History of Lomonosov Moscow State University (contact Irina Galimzyanova at dogovor@hist.msu).
