Studying at City University London is a realistic goal for all undergraduate students. You can get funding to pay for your living costs from several sources. And once you start studying at City, you can get advice on financial support and money management from our award-winning Student Centre.

We have a range of bursaries scholarships available for students from UK/EU and international backgrounds, each based on what qualifications you are studying. Please read the criteria below to find out if you are eligible for a scholarship. All eligible students will be contacted and invited to register. These are based on academic achievement and/or financial need. Some of these bursaries and scholarships are offered by the University, including The Lord Mayor of London Scholarships for Academic Excellence, while others are offered by external organisations.

Vice-Chancellor’s Scholarship

City is offering scholarships of £2,000 each year towards tuition fees to international students starting an undergraduate course at City in September 2016.

This scholarship is available to you if you achieve exceptional grades at 'A' level or International Baccalaureate.

Registration deadline:

Registrations must be submitted by 30th September 2016 in order to be considered for the scholarship. Please note that if you have not registered for the scholarship by 30th September 2016 we will not be able to consider your application.

Selection and further details:

This scholarship is only for those students who meet the eligibility requirements of the scholarship.

Terms and conditions

City is offering scholarships of £2000 each year towards tuition fees to international students starting an undergraduate course at City in September 2016. The scholarship is aimed at students who achieve exceptional grades at 'A' level or International Baccalaureate.

Eligibility criteria (for 2016 entry)

To qualify for the Vice-Chancellor’s International scholarship, you must:

  • Be an international student (i.e. from outside the UK/EU and paying the overseas fee)
  • Be applying for your first year of undergraduate study in 2015/16
  • Achieve grades AAA or above in 'A' levels or IB 35 or above in the International Baccalaureate* with the exception of courses in the Cass Business School (see below) and the School of Arts and Social Sciences (see below)
  • For courses in the Cass Business School, achieve grades A*AA or above in ‘A’ Levels (or A*A*A for Actuarial Science) or IB 38 or above in the International Baccalaureate (or IB 39 for Actuarial Science)
  • For Journalism based in the Schools of Arts and Social Sciences, achieve grades A*AA or above in ‘A’ Levels or IB 38 or above
  • Accept an offer from City as your first choice

*If you are an international student studying for other qualifications in your home education system, you may be eligible to apply for the Global Leaders Scholarship Scheme.

Value and duration

The Scholarship is worth £2000 each year towards tuition fees and is paid for a maximum of three years, subject to satisfactory academic performance each year.

Application

Students will have to register by 30th September 2016 in order to be considered for the Scholarship.

Payment

Scholarship funds for the first year will be applied to the January 2017 tuition fee instalment and, subject to satisfactory performance, to the January instalment in subsequent years.

City University London reserves the right to make changes to the terms and conditions of the Vice-Chancellor’s International Scholarship and these will appear on our website.
