Wolfram, creator of Mathematica, Wolfram | Alpha and the Wolfram Language, has an exciting opportunity available for a Calculus Intern to join its Mathematica Symbolic Computation team.The main goal of this position is to contribute to improvements for reference page examples related to special functions in the system. This position will not only work with the symbolic computation team but will also have some interactions with other teams in the Algorithms R&D department.
Responsibilities:
- Survey the literature and online sources for information on special functions
- Prepare new examples for the reference pages of special functions
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in mathematics or a related subject is required
- Knowledge of mathematical analysis and special functions
- Strong skills in Mathematica and Wolfram Language
Preferred qualifications:
- Some graduate level coursework in mathematics
- Experience with the other scientific computation software
