The Department of Humanities at Ca’ Foscari University of Venice (Dipartimento di Studi Umanistici dell’Università Ca’ Foscari Venezia) invites applications for a fellowship in: "Safeguarding endangered cultural heritage and fighting cultural heritage illicit traffic" - Department of Humanities at Ca’ Foscari University of Venice, SSD: L-OR/11 - Archeology and History of Muslim Art, L-OR/05 - Ancient Near East archaeology and art history; L-ANT/10 - Archaeological research methodologies, Tutor Prof. Cristina Tonghini.

The research may be carried out in English. The fellowship is intended to provide the successful candidate with the opportunity to pursue his/her own research while benefiting from the range of expertise at Università Ca' Foscari Venezia.

Abstract

The activities to be undertaken in this position will include: a research on the state of the art of education relative to trafficking and looting of cultural heritage; the definition of content that will be debated within the foreseen MOOC; the creation of content and organization of training and seminars related to the project; a bibliographic research relative to the domain of Netcher project; the drafting of publications connected to the project; other activities related to Netcher still in planning phase. 

Who can apply

Prospective candidates are expected to hold a Master Degree (MA) and an adequate scientific-professional CV.
