4 Global Challenges Research Fellowships II

Full-time, fixed-term for 3 year
Salary (Grade H3): £38,779 to £49,888 pa incl. London Weighting
We are seeking to appoint 4 Research Fellows II to make a leading contribution to the development and delivery of our Global Challenges research strategy. Our aim is to build our capacity to address developing-world problems and increase the internationalisation of our research activity.
The post-holders will carry out global challenges research as active members of our Research Institutes and will collaborate in interdisciplinary projects with colleagues across the University. The post-holders will also contribute to the formulation and submission of research publications and grant proposals as well as building networks and partnerships with overseas researchers.
The post-holders are expected to become next-generation research leaders and will make specialist contributions in at least one of the following areas, aligned to our areas of research strength and existing activities:
- Behavioural change interventions for improved public health and social cohesion in the developing world
- Sustainable energy for developing countries
- Circular economy and sustainable development, including management of natural resources
- Global flood risk and resilience
Applications are welcome in any discipline that relates to one or more of these areas.
The successful candidates must have a PhD in an appropriate discipline.
A market supplement may be considered for highly experienced candidates with a proven record of securing independent research funding
