A maximum of five AUC Scholarships for IGCSE students are awarded every year. This honor scholarship is awarded at the beginning of each academic year to the new students achieving the highest scores at the national or regional level in their respective high school diplomas. The scholarship amounts to a 40 percent additional reduction to full AUC tuition per semester (fall, spring, summer and winter) over and above the regular achievement scholarship. Scholarship applications for fall 2015 will open in May 2015.

Eligibility: 
To attract the best high-school students in the region, an honor scholarship is awarded at the beginning of each academic year to the new students achieving the highest scores at the national or regional level in their respective high school diplomas (thanawiya amma, IGCSE, French baccalaureate, German abitur, IB diploma and American diploma).  
Scholarship Open for International Students: 
Egyptian and Non-Egyptian students can apply for this scholarship.
Scholarship Description: One of the University’s major priorities is providing scholarships and financial aid support to its students in order to further AUC’s mission of building a culture of leadership ready to contribute to both Egypt and the international community in diverse fields. Scholarship support enables AUC to attract gifted young men and women, regardless of their financial circumstances, to the University, and provide them with an education that empowers them to create positive change in Egypt and the world. AUC offers scholarships based on merit and need. Honor scholarships are granted to students who achieved excellent secondary academic records.
Number of award(s): A maximum of five such AUC scholarships for IGCSE students are awarded every year.
Duration of award(s): The honor scholarship is a one year award that is re-evaluated annually, after summer semester exam results are issued. Recipients of the scholarship will retain the scholarship as long as they maintain a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of not less than 3.4 and full-time status (24 credit hours). Students who take remedial English courses (i.e. ELI and/or English 100) during the fall and /or spring semesters of the previous academic year will retain their honor scholarship. If a student’s cumulative GPA falls below 3.4 or does not maintain a full-time status, he or she loses the scholarship. Unlike achievement scholarships, honor scholarships cannot be regained.

How to Apply: Interested students are asked to fill out the scholarship undergraduate application on Banner Self-Service and submit all the required documents to the Student Service Center. Please do not forget to select the award for which you are applying. This is a mandatory part of your application; without it, the application will be disregarded.
