In 2009, the McGill Armenian Students’ Association issued a statement announcing its collaboration with ARMACAD by which the association would help Armenian students from the Republic of Armenia who have been accepted to or are applying to McGill University.
The opportunity has presented itself and McGill University alumnus and former McGill Armenian Students’ Association Vice President of Communications Arthur Dolmajian B. Eng, will be in Armenia and will give a short presentation about studying at McGill. He will start by introducing McGill University and then go through the steps required to apply. Emphasis will be put on international students and students from the Republic of Armenia. Other subjects that will be discussed during the meeting are scholarships, the activities of the McGill Armenian Students’ Association and other Armenian student associations in Montreal, as well as living in Montreal.
Also present at this event will be Gayaneh Melkomian, Luys scholar, LLM McGill University and Irakli Japaridze, PhD Economics McGill University, who will share their first hand experience at McGill University as students from the Republic of Armenia and answer questions.
This presentation is aimed at high school or university students who are interested in studying abroad. It will give them a unique chance to learn about McGill University, get their questions answered and create ties with Armenian students in Canada.
To participate in this lecture, please, submit an email with short (1-3 lines) introduction (in Armenian or English) about yourself to email@example.com with “McGill” in the subject line. The details of the meeting as well as a reminder about the lecture will be shared with those who registered till August 09, 2011.
