This course in social sciences will give you a taste of four exciting subjects on offer at Warwick delivered across the Pre-University Summer School. Teaching includes Law, Education Studies, Philosophy and Psychology.
These subjects all look at some of the world’s biggest issues and therefore will equip you with analytical and communication skills relevant to many industries and organisations.
In Law you will learn about how Laws are made, who makes them and why they look the way they do. The Psychology taster will introduce you to the way that the study of Psychology uncovers the ‘secrets’ behind human behaviour at degree level and will explore some the techniques used by psychological scientists. Philosophy will impart important skills and abilities in critical reasoning and reflection to help students to progress in answering big questions about the conscious mind, ethical principles, free will and political justice.
In Education Studies, you will consider education as an instrument for social mobility, in addition to providing an insight of what it is like to engage in Education Studies at university level.
