The Presidential Press Association is pleased to announce the creation of three scholarships based on social criteria for journalism students interested in political news.
While we describe a social lift blocked in France and that political journalists are often accused, rightly or wrongly, of operating in a vacuum, we believe that this project can contribute, on our modest scale, to sending a a strong signal of social openness.
These scholarships, of 1,500 euros per year each, will be awarded by the APP in July to scholarship students who have been admitted to a journalism school recognized by the profession. Candidates should demonstrate an interest in current political affairs by submitting a topic synopsis on the presidential election.
In addition to the scholarship, the three selected students will be followed by a mentor, member of the APP, who will advise them during their studies and accompany them during their professional efforts.
As a reminder, the Presidential Press Association brings together journalists from French and international media covering the news of the Presidency of the Republic. It is completely independent from the government and does not receive any public funding.
A scholarship for whom?
Three students, from all over France, admitted or enrolled
in a recognized journalism school.
The student must be a CROUS grant holder or equivalent grant holder.
