Zahid Hussain Post Doctoral Research Fellowship Program at State Bank of Pakistan

State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), the central bank of the country, invites applications for Zahid Hussain Post Doctoral Research Fellowship Program from individuals possessing PhD degrees in Economics. The Fellowship program, as a tool for knowledge sharing and capacity building, aims at providing scholars an opportunity to participate in and contribute to the research activities of SBP with regard to issues of pressing national / global importance and providing SBP an opportunity to benefit from the diverse knowledge, background and experience offered by high caliber scholars from around the world.

FELLOWSHIP DETAILS:
Research conducted during the fellowship should preferably be on issues relating to Pakistan's economic and financial system. While helping SBP in building up its research capacity, the researchers will have an opportunity to critically examine and review some of the policy initiatives in the chosen research areas and develop innovative policy proposals. During the program, the SBP Fellows will be placed in Research Department, State Bank of Pakistan, Karachi. This will be a contract for a period of three months to one year depending on the nature of research proposal. During this period the SBP Fellows will be required to produce research papers/policy notes on agreed topic(s) every three months. They may be advised to preferably submit their papers to the SBP Research Bulletin. SBP will provide full medical coverage and a one time two way air ticket along with a monthly stipend of Rs. 275,000/-.

ELIGIBILITY:
The program is intended for individuals possessing a PhD degree in Economics or related field.
