Founded in 1933, American Institute for Economic Research educates Americans on the value of personal freedom, free enterprise, property rights, limited government and sound money. AIER’s ongoing scientific research demonstrates the importance of these principles in advancing peace, prosperity and human progress.
The Institute is located on a beautiful 100-acre campus in the Berkshires of Western Massachusetts. Our staff and visiting researchers enjoy a Cotswold-style manor estate, office complex, lake, huge library, and archives dating back over 85 years.
From full-time employment to week-long colloquia, AIER offers a variety of opportunities for professionals and students alike.
Residency for visiting scholars and interns is provided in the manor or cottages right on campus, close to the beautiful town of Great Barrington.
