Preparing Global Leaders Summit

Preparing Global Leaders Summit (#PGLS2018) is an intensive week-long programme of practical simulations, workshops, public speaking exercises delivered by the world leading experts and professionals. The program seeks to prepare aspiring global scholar-leaders with the tools that are necessary for effective leadership in an increasingly complex world. Students and young professionals take short courses from internationally recognized faculty and participate in a range of leadership simulations. Specifically, participants will learn how to develop an opposable, interdisciplinary mind with an ability to work with and across ideological, national, religious, class and racial differences. They will learn how to communicate effectively, think both critically and creatively with a particular emphasis on how to advance the global public good.

#PGLS2018 curricula and simulations will cover the following topics: negotiation, strategic thinking, public speaking, networking, persuasion, technology and governance, branding, and public policy.

Hotel

Delegates will be staying at the RANEPA Hotel. Delegates will be staying in shared accommodation. If you require a single room, this will be an additional cost, depending on the rates offered by the hotel. Shared accommodation includes a twin room with 2 separate beds.

Meals

Daily breakfast and lunch provided from 24th August till 29th August at the Cafe "Harvard" RANEPA Building 3. Delegates will have meals tickets which will be equivalent to 300 rubles per 1 breakfast and 450 rubles per 1 lunch.

Cultural activities

#PGLS2018 schedule provides a range of cultural activities and official visit which were included in the organization fee. Participants will have an opportunity to see Moscow city center during the 4 hours bus excursion and walking tour. A few cultural activities which participants can attend with additional payment.

Participation Fee

The Participation fee is $1500.  The participation fee includes shared accommodation from the 24th till 30th August. Food (breakfast and lunch), receptions, transportation from and to the airport and 2 cultural events are all included within the fee. For delegates not requiring accommodation, the participation fee is £1000. #PGLS2018 provide partial scholarships for participant who will require financial support.

Scholarships

#PGLS2017 provides a limited amount of scholarships which reduce the final participation fee to: $900  $750  $600 The calculated amount of scholarship depends on the small essay about Leadership from the Application form and attached additional documents. The participation fee with the scholarship will not be reduced in case the delegate will not require accommodation.
