Program description

The "Interdisciplinary School for the Blue Planet" (ISblue) launches an excellence post-doctoral programme, inspired by similar programs in the United States such as the NOAA Climate Change and Global Change or the WHOI postdoctoral fellowship programs. This call continues the International postdoctoral fellowship programme offered by LabexMER since 2012.The eligible themes and laboratories are those described in the ISblue research strategy presentation (https://www.labexmer.eu/fr/appel-a-projets/ISblueoverview.pdf). The overall objective is to allow young talented scientists to propose their own research project in marine sciences and technology to be carried out in one or several ISblue laboratories (ies), and to promote their career development.

The postdoctoral appointment is for a period of two years. Recipients of the awards will receive a net salary of about €2,400 per month (take-home salary). In addition, support is available for travel expenses, equipment, and supplies. Work contract will include national health and dental insurance, as well as retirement and unemployment benefits.

Applicants showing more than 3 years after thesis (maximum 3 years + 6 months) will be considered if they can provide a support letter from one member of the LabexMER Scientific Committee.
