The Researcher Exchange Programme enables scientific visits and research stays in a partner institution within the VOX-Pol network. In this context, visits of external researchers of up to one month are encouraged, whilst other durations may be considered.
Financial support, to a maximum of €2,000 per month (location dependent), will be available. Assistance may also be available, for once-off travel to/from the exchange/internship location.
Eligibility Criteria
This programme is intended for researchers currently employed in academia, and research organisations, with research experience relevant to VOX-Pol.
We also welcome applications from those professionally tasked in the area of violent online political extremism, for example, from those interested in training in specialised areas. Applications are welcome from both EU and non-EU researchers.
All applicants should be in contact with an appropriate mentor in their potential host institution(s) prior to submission of their application. Detailed information on partner institutions’ specific areas of expertise and contact details for potential mentors may be obtained by emailing rmp@voxpol.eu
Application Procedure
The applicant—in collaboration with the proposed hosting institution—draws up a joint proposal for the intended stay, to include details of:
- Current CV;
- Proposed collaboration: purpose and clear objectives (1-3 pages)
- Proposed location(s)
- Proposed duration
- Proposed budget, e.g. details of co-funding (if applicable), breakdown of estimated cost of travel and accommodation, etc.
There is a rolling call for applications. Applications will be reviewed, and the outcome will be advised no later than one-month from the receipt of application.
Please note that expense reimbursement will be processed after the exchange, upon receipt of a research report, evidence of stay, and supporting receipts.
