University of Roehampton is inviting applications for Vice Chancellor’s Scholarships for PhD
Students. 50 VC Scholarships for PhD research areas across the university. Funding is available for UK/EU and International students at Home/EU rates for three years full-time study or part time equivalent for five years. The application deadline is 5 May 2015.
Study Subject(s): Eligible research projects are available in departments across the University. Please consult the list of project areas in each department to find one that matches your research interests and experience. Roehampton Business School, Department of Dance, Department of Drama, Theatre and Performance, School of Education (including Policy, Philosophy, and Early Childhood studies), Department of English and Creative Writing, Department of Humanities (including History, Classics, and Theology), Department of Life Sciences (including Anthropology, Biology, Health, and Sport and Exercise Sciences), Department of Media, Culture and Language, Department of Psychology and Department of Social Sciences (including Sociology, Human Rights, and Political studies).

What does it cover? Funding is available for UK/EU and International students at Home/EU rates (tuition fee waiver at £4,052 and stipend at £16,057 for 2015/16) for three years full-time study (or part time equivalent for five years).
Selection criteria: The University of Roehampton is committed to ensuring that applicants are selected on the basis of merit.
Notification: Applications will be considered first by relevant academic departments, and shortlisted candidates will be invited to interview by the end of May. Each department will then nominate their best candidates to go forward to the University-level competition. Final results will be available at the end of June 2015.
