2019 General Conference, Wrocław
The 2019 General Conference will be held at the University of Wrocław, Poland. Wrocław is Poland's fourth largest city, and best known for its Market Square and astronomical clock. It is situated on the Odra River, with its 12 islands and 130 bridges. The University of Wrocław was founded in 1702 and is the largest University in Lower Silesia.
ECPR’s General Conference remains Europe's largest annual gathering of political scientists, often attracting more than 2,000 scholars from throughout the world and at all stages of their career. With nearly 500 Panels taking place across c.70 Sections, the academic programme covers the breadth of political science, creating the platform for lively discussion, exchange of ideas and the best thinking in the discipline.
The academic content is complemented by a stimulating plenary programme, including Roundtables addressing topical or contentious themes and a Plenary Lecture delivered by a high profile member of the profession. The timetable is completed by a carefully planned social programme, offering many opportunities to meet with old friends and new colleagues.
Registration Fees
The fees for the 2019 General Conference are as follows:
- Students from ECPR member institutions €160*
- Students from non-member institutions €235*
- Other participants from ECPR member institutions €255
- Other participants from non-member institutions €380
*To be eligible for the student rate, you must send one of the following to the Events Team by midnight UK time on 20 May 2019:
- A student ID card with a valid expiry date
- Letter from your Head of Department
- Confirmation of enrolment to your university
