An Engineering summer course designed to introduce students aged 19-25+ to the discipline of Engineering. Residential in Oxford.

Course Summary

On this course, students will learn about the difference between the major branches of engineering: civil, mechanical, structural, electrical, chemical and aeronautical.

From learning technical vocabulary and analytical skills to exploring the work of renowned engineers and theories, students will be provided with an extensive skill set preparing them for a future career in the sector. Through a combination of theoretical lessons and interactive workshops, students will consolidate their knowledge and gain a significant understanding of the theoretical concepts and their practical applications.

What to expect from the Engineering 19-25+ course

This course aims to provide students with an impressive knowledge and detailed understanding of the Engineering sector, ultimately giving them a head start in a career in the industry.

With lessons covering an extensive selection of topics, from circuit design and building structure to transferable skills like public speaking, the course will ensure students gain a fundamental understanding of the discipline whilst also teaching important skills that will be invaluable in any sector.

By learning about the major strands of Engineering, students on the course may also be able to decide which branch of the discipline they may wish to pursue, at university and beyond.
