NNEdPro is a member organisation of Cambridge University Health Partners, and its Global Centre for Nutrition and Health in Cambridge is conducting the certified Summer School in Applied Human Nutrition from 5th to 9th July 2019.

The 2019 edition of the Summer School is co-organised with the School of Advanced Studies on Food and Nutrition of the University of Parma, Italy, and will have a contingent of internationally recognised lecturers in Cambridge for the occasion

The Summer School is intended for individuals interested in nutrition and its health-applications and is also open to undergraduate students and other adult learners. Candidates are selected on the basis of their previous experience and overall suitability for the programme.

The Summer School to date has been dually accredited by the Royal College of Physicians and the Royal Society of Biology and has typically been hosted in Homerton College, Cambridge, as well as the University of Cambridge School of Clinical Medicine. The Faculty is drawn predominantly from the Universities of Cambridge and Parma, but includes members of the Ulster University, Imperial College London as well as a number of highly reputed academic institutions in Europe, USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and further afield. The Summer School is able to tailor learning to individual needs due to a very high faculty to candidate ratio.

Personal tutors/mentors will be allocated to candidates for the duration of the Summer School and following the course, alumni will automatically become associate members of the NNEdPro International Academy of Nutrition Educators (IANE) which will continue to provide advice and support on a one to one basis for at least 12 months following completion of the course. Academy Membership is renewable annually. Following the final assessment on the morning of the 5th day of the programme (9th of July 2019), there will be an opportunity for new IANE Members to receive their first post-course 1:1 mentoring session.

The Summer School is residential including accommodation and all meals (bed and breakfast lodging as well as course lunches and supper as well as a gala dinner on the evening of Day-3) for the full duration of the programme.
