Granada Summer School 2017: Ethics and Maqasid (Higher Objectives of Shari’a) 15th – 19th May

The theme of Ethics and Maqasid will address applied issues in Methodology, Environment, Gender and Human Rights. The course is aimed at postgraduate level. All sessions will be delivered in English.

What is the cost and what’s included? 

  • Total cost: 900 euros

  • The fee for the Summer School includes all tutoring, accommodation (in shared rooms with either 2 or 3 persons) and breakfasts for the duration of the course

  • Students must cover the costs of their own travel and transportation, other meals and other hospitality requirements
  • Side activities will be organized (sight seeing in Cordoba on Sunday 14th May, Alhambra visit). The costs for these will be provided soon

Unfortunately, we cannot provide funding scholarships for the Summer School this year. Students should apply for scholarships from other sources (please note that we do not have any information regarding such funding schemes).

What does a typical day look like?

A typical day in the program will be comprised of:

  • 3 sessions: 1h30 each
    • 09:00 – 10:30
    • 10:45 – 12:15
    • 12:30 – 14:00
    • + debate 16:30 – 18:30
