Presidential Scholarship

The Presidential Scholarship is a four-year, full-tuition award, the recipients of which represent some of the most exemplary student leaders on Saint Louis University's campus. Presidential Scholars are eligible to apply for additional funding (up to $1,200) in support of an Investigative Learning Experience (ILEX), which may take the form of a research venture, service project, internship, or other co-curricular endeavor.

SAINT LOUIS UNIVERSITY'S PRESIDENTIAL SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION IS AVAILABLE TO FRESHMEN ENTERING FALL TERM.

Presidential Scholarship Eligibility

Students who meet the following minimum requirements are invited to fill out a separate application for Presidential Scholarship candidacy:

  • Cumulative GPA of 3.85 or higher, weighted or unweighted, as reported on the students high school transcript at the close of junior year
  • Official test score of at least 30 on the ACT or SAT of at least 1330 (math+critical reading)

Only those students who meet these requirements will be considered eligible for candidacy. These criteria are used only for determining eligibility and do not guarantee that the student will be selected either for further competition or as a Presidential Scholarship recipient. Upon review of the applicants, a select group of students will be invited to Saint Louis University's campus in January or February to interview and compete for the Presidential Scholarship.

Students who apply for the Presidential Scholarship should do so under the assumption that, if awarded, the scholarship will replace any offer for merit-based scholarship previously made by the university. Please note that the Jesuit High School Award cannot be combined with the Presidential Scholarship.
