Value of the Award and Eligibility
The studentship will cover PhD fees at the home/UK rate and a level of subsistence equal to that provided by ESRC studentships (estimated rate of £13,726 in 2015/16). Applicants of UK/EU and International status can apply.

The holder of the studentship may have the opportunity to undertake a small amount of teaching within the School. Payment for this will be at a standard hourly rate in addition to the annual studentship.

Person Specification
Applicants should have a good Honours degree (first-class or upper-second-class Honours) in an area related to the proposed field of study. It would be an advantage if you also had, or expected to receive by Autumn 2015, a Master’s-level qualification at ‘credit’ or ‘distinction’ level in a relevant subject area.
