NC State University Khayrallah Prize 2017

The annual Khayrallah Prize recognizes the best artistic expression of the Lebanese Diaspora.

Whether in visual art, written work, performance or electronic medium, the Khayrallah ​Prize identifies, awards and ​publicly honors those whose original work captures the experiences of Lebanese immigrants, their relationship to Lebanon and their new homes, and their communities and peregrinations. The winner will receive a monetary prize of $2500, and will be invited to NC State University to receive the prize at a public ceremony with a presentation of their winning contribution.

Application Process

Entrants need to submit the following as part of their application process:

  • A typed, double spaced narrative that describes your artwork and how you think it expresses the Lebanese Diasporic experience. This statement should not exceed THREE (3) pages in length. Submissions without a statement will not be judged.
  • Attach a typed, single spaced biographical sketch. This typed narrative should not exceed ONE (1) page in length.
  • Attach your work in digitized format. Make sure original photographs, sculptures, paintings, etc. are available in the event the selection team chooses to view them. If you submit a web-site, please be sure to provide an accurate web address and accessible web-site. If you are submitting a published book then a copy needs to be mailed separately to:
