Lincoln University Global Challenges Scholarship, New Zealand

Publish Date: Jun 06, 2016

Deadline: Aug 31, 2016

Lincoln University Global Challenges Scholarship

As an International Global Challenges Scholar, you will take part in a development programme designed to enhance your social entrepreneurship skills through design, problem-solving, co-operative work, thorough research and critical thinking.
You will work in groups to develop social entrepreneurship models with the assistance of mentors who will help you to turn your ideas into action. You will learn by working with issues within your own communities, where you have the power to create global change and positive impact.
You’ll also liaise with Lincoln University staff and alumni, who will use their areas of expertise to help you to address specific issues.
The scholarship also involves working with the SchoolsLinc team in secondary schools to spread the word about global challenges. The aim is to encourage younger generations to get involved in Lincoln’s three key missions of Feeding the World, Protecting the Future and Living Well through the Global Challenges Programme for Schools.
The University will pay $12,000 (NZD) towards one year of your tuition fees. You may have the opportunity to reapply for future years if you have met all the requirements of the programme.
