The Yerevan Alumni Club invites you to its first Patriot Series event on the topic of the Karabakh movement and the role of the Armenian Diaspora in the development of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR). Mr. Migirdic Migirdicyan, Founder and Chairman of the Toronto branch of the Hayastan All-Armenian Fund, will present historical facts on the Karabakh movement, including his involvement as a Diasporan Armenian, as well as some unique materials from his archive. He will also speak about the contribution that the Armenian Diaspora has had and should have in the development of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic. About the Speaker For over 22 years Migirdicyan has managed and implemented more than 43 projects in Armenia and in NKR, including building schools, ensuring energy supply to towns and villages, and many other initiatives that are ongoing today. He has also been extensively involved in the activities of the Armenian Diaspora in a number of cities worldwide and has served as a Board Member of the Zogan Institute of Canada (1987-2011). For his work in NKR, Migirdicyan was awarded three presidential medals.
About the Patriot Series The mission of the Patriot Series is to promote professional discussion, to raise public awareness of up-to-date issues in Armenia (political, economic, cultural, social, etc.), and to engage AUA alumni in this. The series will feature public discussions with scholars, practitioners, and specialists from Armenia and abroad.
