Funding and Scholarships
ISS receives a majority of students on a partial or full scholarship programme. While in the past many of our students have enjoyed their studies on a Netherlands Fellowship Programme (NFP) scholarship, there is an increasing group who apply for other scholarships. ISS has therefore created a scholarship database to help you find funding you are eligible for.
(Your admission is valid for two consecutive years. If you have applied for a Diploma course but your application for financial assistance has not been completed, your application will automatically be deferred to the next year. If you have applied for the MA programme, you will need to request a deferral through an email to the admission office.)
ISS Hardship Fund
Students who do not comply with the criteria for the scholarship fund for excellent students but do not have sufficient means to pay the entire tuition fee can apply to the ISS Hardship Fund.
This fund can provide a fee discount of up to 30% of the tuition fee .
Applications to this fund are dealt with on an ongoing basis.
To apply please email your request to the ISS student office (studentoffice@iss.nl) as soon as possible (but before 15 June at the latest).
Requests should explain shortly the reason why a fee reduction will enlarge your opportunity to study at ISS and include detailed financial information (including supporting bank statements) to prove your ability to support yourself for the remaining tuition fee, the living expenses and health insurance.
The decisions on allocation of the scholarship are taken on an ongoing basis. Students selected for the scholarship bursaries will be informed by the student office.
