WHO ARE WE?

Film TEEP is a co-production training programme organized by ARTVIVA with the support of the Romanian National Center of Cinematography.

THE AIM

The aim is to enable an international framework for development of fiction projects, setting up and building a professional network in the East European region, and to encourage audiovisual collaborations between both EU and non-EU member states.

APPLICATION PROCEDURE

Applicants can download the application form on this site or send an email to info@artviva.ro. Please ensure that all sections are completed. All documents, including the project proposals themselves, must be in English and should be sent via email to info@artviva.ro.

The selected projects will be announced on 28th of April 2015.

SELECTION CRITERIA

Projects will be selected based on the following criteria:

  • Quality and originality of the proposal
  • International co-production potential
  • Production potential and commercial viability
  • Track record of the applicants, and ability to collaborate effectively

THE SCHEDULE

Film TEEP will start with a workshop held in Bucharest from 3rd to 8th of June 2015 with follow-up tuition available online afterwards.

METHODOLOGY

The course will bring together 12 selected fiction projects in teams of writer/director and producer.

The training will be held in English with a team of established international professionals.
The team of trainers: Patrice Vivancos (Head of Studies, Production and Finance Tutor), David Pope (Leading Script Tutor), Catherine Linstrum (Script Tutor), Anatoli Edward Regintovski (Script Tutor), Tiina Lokk (Promotion), Mary Kate O’Flanagan (Scene Development), Phillip Bergson (Casting), George Christopoulos (Music and Sound), Dr. Dirk Poppendieck (Legal). The workshop sessions will involve individual tutorials, group tutorials, and plenary sessions, and are designed to be as collaborative as possible. The goal for each project will be to improve the creative content and nurture the international potential, so that a script can be developed to have the best possible chances of success in the marketplace.

During the event, the 12 selected teams will have the opportunity to meet and discuss their projects with award-winning Romanian filmmakers.

AWARDS

At the end of the program, the two projects displaying the greatest potential will go on  to participation in Mannheim Meeting Place – the co-production market at IFF Mannheim Heidelberg  (October 2015 – www.iffmh.de/en) or the When East Meets West at IFF Trieste  (January 2016 – http://www.wemw.it/).

PARTICIPATION FEE

The course fee is 110 euro/person for the selected projects. There is no application fee.

FOREIGN PARTICIPANTS (from outside Romania)

Film TEEP will offer free accommodation for foreign participants. Travel expenses must be covered individually.
